Hi folks,
After reading all about winding a brushless motor and deciding to give it a try, I noticed something that doesn't look quite right. The core shown on the Home Page Header appears to be a 9 pole, if I understand how this all works. The three color windings show three consecutive green, three red, and three copper wound poles. I thought they were supposed to be Green, Red, Copper, GRC, GRC, etc, . Will that motor even run as shown??? Joe ![]() |

the winding in the picture is AaABbBCcC and is used in a 10 magnet pole motor. it can also work in a 8 magnet pole motor. the RED GREEN COPPER or ABCABCABC is used in 12 magnet pole motor. the GBV kits are supplied with 12 magnet poles. you can order a motor kit with no magnets installed and then you can put and number of magnets in place. Thanks for your reply. I should have know there was a good explaination for that.
I already have a motor I want to rewind as Imentioned in another post in the forum. I want to order some wire for it, but have no idea what I need. My question was in regards to a single wire wind vs. multiple strands per wind. Joe |
