Looking for some genarel info.

What is the thickness in mm of the single double and triple stator.

I have been able to locate over 100 of the same type motors. my first single 17 turn 26g 12 n45 mags works fantastic followed the gbv1.1 tutorial to the T and it worked first time out.. Now I am looking to building a longer bell (1 inch electrical conduit brazed on the end of the brass end support. and turned true..

My lenght question centers around that. a 3 stator motor should be 3 times a deep as a single. If i stak 3 of my stators I get a stator that is 11mm thick.. I would like to do the calcs on the startor thickness to match what you guys are doing here..

My stators are 23.7mm 9mm center hole 9 pole.

Carfull about the brass. Aren't you worried about the weight?. If you have a lathe, It's easy to make a flux ring that can be pressed on and glued to a custom aluminum end bell. You'll run into some of DadHav's motors aroung the site.
Good Luck. Let us know how you do.

I am a bit concerned about the weight but i am working with what I have on hand. I wish i had a lathe it would make all of this a mute point.

The conduit is thicker than what I would like to use and the motors that I found have the 22mm brass insert on the end already..

I figure once it get it tacked and true then i will chuck it up in the drill press and run a file over it for a while to thin it up..

Lotsa work but may work never the less.

I like the build proccess it is what I do 5 nights a week (2 days a week flying) Have i mentioned I love my wife....

I am open to suggestions I am heading to the local muffler shop today to see if they have any thinner wall tubing.. may even be able to get them to cut me a few 12 mm slices..

The conduit is out. the magnetic quality is low to none. that is to say the magentes barely grab the steel so I am lashing up 3 cans from the old motors (What a pain) it runs true so that is a good thing.

Any thoughts on the thickness of the stators for 1 2 or 3 stators

the current work on the bell the exit for the shaft will need beefing up and drilled for a 3mm shaft but it is starting to looks like something.

I am working on a 25mm triple from GB single flux ring, gb 9 pole stators, and Gb can. 5x5x1 N50 mags (the stator will need to be turned down) The can is simply fiberglassed on the flux ring and seems bullet proof. Just thought I'd mention it as it seems a viable and easy method. I just held it all together with 10mm long magnets while I glassed it, runs true. Hasn't run yet as I fragged the last stator turning it down.

I'm hoping it will give me a bit more power out of hover on my 25" 3d foamy than the 22.7 single I have on it. 7oz plane and ~7.5 oz thrust makes it a little soft.
