Jay or anyone, I'm about to put together a couple of 12 pole 25mm GB stators to make a double and maybe a triple. Here is something that I noticed: I have an AXI that has a 12 pole 14 magnet combination. I would assume that the winding technique is the same as prescribed for that combination. This motor has tremendous power. My question is: Does this winding & magnet combo produce more power than if you were to use 16 magnets with the ABC wind? Or is it possible that the magnets are much stronger or something. I know we can use 45s 48s and 50s but is there magnets stronger than that? would anyone be using them in production motors?

The lrk/sps windingprinciple optimises for torque (which does not mean that an a lrk motor cannot rev! +35.000rpm in boats). Power is determined by the ability of the motor to get rid of excess heat. Different windingdiagrams teeth/magnet combinations give different motor characters.
